My husband and I recently visited New York City for an overnight getaway to see Waiting for Godot on Broadway.

We stayed at LUMA Hotel Times Square during our visit. After checking in and quickly dropping off our things, we made our way to The Ragtrader for a pre-dinner drink. In time for happy hour, I ordered an espresso old fashioned, and my husband had a glass of wine. We then made our way to Gabriel Kreuther for dinner. We dined at the Michelin-starred modern French restaurant last year for our anniversary. After our second meal there, we agreed it’s now “our spot” for dinner in Manhattan. The service and food was beyond incredible, with too many excellent dishes to narrow down a favorite. With full bellies, we took a short walk to the Hudson Theatre for the show.

Admittedly, we decided to see the production for the two leads. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter first met while filming Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and the pair have been friends and collaborators ever since. Their onstage chemistry was evident and gave added depth to the performance. The production runs through January, so there is still time to book tickets!
