A Very Merry Grinchmas

by John Wroblewski

Nov 30, 2020

The Grinch first appeared in 1957 in the Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! During this holiday season, the Grinch is appearing in many cities, sharing his unique Christmas spirit with all at the Grinch’s Grotto.

The creators of The Dr. Seuss Experience are bringing the Grinch from his home on snowy Mount Crumpit just north of Whoville to malls across America. This promises to be a “wonderful, awful idea” guaranteed to make this the Grinchiest Christmas ever.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a children’s book written in rhymed verse and illustrated by Geisel. The grumpy Grinch steals Christmas-themed items from Whoville homes, but ultimately realizes Christmas isn’t all about money and gifts. As his shrunken heart grows, the Grinch joins the Whoville celebrations.

The Grinch’s Grotto brings the Grinch experience to all by putting guests inside the classic story. The Grinch’s holiday home includes a special “Grinchmas” tree, his burlap bag of gifts, stockings hung by the fireplace and more straight from the Dr. Seuss book. Each guest group meets the Grinch separately and also receives a professional photo and other Grinchy surprises.

If you’re looking for something new this holiday season,
Something more than Santa for some reason,
The answer is simple, really a cinch,
Go to the Grotto to visit the Grinch.
