Last Friday my friends and I finally coordinated all of our busy schedules to see the latest viral movie taking the world by storm: Obsession. I’m not the biggest fan of horror, but when I heard it was more thriller/suspense, I was intrigued.
The movie was rather short, about 1.5 hours long, but it was well-done. I will be the first to say it was unusual, but the low budget made for some exceptional acting, as each actor couldn’t rely on fancy props or CGI to tell the story.
The actress in particular was really creepy, and I found myself laughing at certain times during the movie as her “obsession” became more and more evident.
When the movie ended, my friends and I all just looked at each other, half-confused and half-impressed. I don’t think my guy friends were as big of fans of the film as the girls … .

The movie was a late-night one, too, so we exited the theaters in complete darkness, which probably only added to the eerie feel of the movie.
All in all, I recommend the film. It’s worth the watch and to learn what all the online hype is about.
