Hyatt Hotels Corp. announced the opening of Andaz Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica. Situated on 28 oceanfront acres on the northwest Pacific coast of Costa Rica overlooking the Bay of Culebra, the resort features 153 guestrooms, including 21 luxury suites, with spacious balconies and more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Unique features include an open-air lobby, three restaurants serving Caribbean-inspired cuisine and the finest Costa Rican chocolate and tea, a spa with nine treatment rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, two swimming pools and a private beach. “Costa Rica is full of rich culture and history, and we can’t wait to provide our guests with new and inspiring experiences that will help them feel like a true local during their stay,” said Michael Schmid, general manager, Andaz Peninsula Papagayo. The new property is the second Andaz hotel to open in the past year, joining Andaz Maui at Wailea, which debuted in Hawaii in early September 2013.
