Travelers going through Philadelphia (PHL) will soon be able to enjoy a brand-new Centurion Lounge by American Express at the facility.
The new lounge will be located above the existing British Airways Lounge in Terminal A West, used primarily for international departures but accessible from other airport terminals. Lounge visitors will enter on the concourse level and walk up the stairs to level 2.
The new 5,500-square-foot lounge will feature a sit-down bar and buffet, a self-serve drink bar, plenty of public seating, quiet rooms for phone calls, six bathrooms and a large shower room.
This new lounge will join American Express’ Centurion Lounge portfolio including Houston (IAH), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Las Vegas McCarran (LAS), New York (LGA), Miami (MIA), Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) and San Francisco (SEO).
American Express Enhanced Business Platinum cardholders will have free access to the lounge, as will American Express Platinum cardholders. Other cards, such as SPG American Express, offer one-day passes for $50.
Construction is set to begin on the new lounge Feb. 27, and the lounge will open Aug. 3.
