The new partnership makes Airbnb for Business easily accessible to American Express Global Business Travel members, including data transfer and travel tracking. Approximately 10 percent of all Airbnb members are business travelers; now, companies can integrate Airbnb into their corporate travel plans for employees to easily book a stay suiting their needs and tastes. During the initial phase of the partnership, American Express refers members to Airbnb, so members can book with Airbnb directly using their corporate email address. Business travelers and companies who use American Express Global Business Traveler can later transfer booking information, so companies can track business travelers’ bookings and travelers can view booking details within corporate itineraries and on mobile devices. “Business travelers want the freedom to choose accommodations that align with their personal and professional tastes. At the same time, traveler safety and security are a top priority for companies. As the first travel management company to partner with Airbnb, our customers can further evolve their travel policies and offer their travelers the ability to book preferred accommodations,” said Wes Bergstrom, vice president, global supplier relations, American Express Global Business Travel. The initial phase of the partnership goes live in the following weeks and will be available outside the United States later this year.
