In 2017, Alaska Airlines adds daily, non-stop service to Indianapolis (IND) and Wichita (ICT) from its Seattle (SEA) hub. “We continue to add more destinations from our hometown. With the addition of nonstop service to Indianapolis and Wichita, Alaska Airlines now offers nonstop service to a total of 89 cities from Seattle — more than twice as many as any other airline,” said John Kirby, vice president of capacity planning, Alaska Airlines. With the added flights, the airline operates 20 daily flights to nine cities in the Midwest. Wichita service begins April 13, with daily flights departing Seattle at 11:55 a.m., and arriving in Wichita at 5:13 p.m. Return service departs at 6:10 p.m., landing in Seattle at 7:55 p.m. Indianapolis service begins May 11, and departs Seattle daily at 9:55 a.m., arriving in Indianapolis at 5:10 p.m. Return service departs at 6:10 p.m., and arrives in Seattle at 7:59 p.m. A Boeing 737 aircraft is slated to service the Indianapolis route. Passengers enjoy free premium downloadable entertainment and power outlets at each seat. An E175 jet, operated by SkyWest Airlines and seating 76 passengers, services the Wichita route, with 12 first-class seats, 12 business-class seats and 52 economy-class seats.
