To upgrade the passenger experience, airberlin is introducing a variety of new amenities, including after-work events in airports, new welcome beverages for premium customers, enhanced privacy in business class and new entertainment options.
The carrier is launching after-work events in many exclusive waiting areas, including Berlin-Tegel Airport, Dusseldorf International Airport, Munich International Airport and Vienna International Airport. Here, passengers can enjoy the airline’s exclusive FliegerCocktail, also available on board as a welcome drink for passengers flying business class as of April of this year.
“These after-work events are a way for us to thank our frequent flyers. We know how tiring it can be to travel for business and that relaxation often falls by the wayside when there are meetings to attend. We would therefore like to invite our guests to enjoy some good music and an airberlin cocktail and a beer,” said Marco Ciomperlik, chief production officer, airberlin. “The airberlin crew will take care of the topbonus and business-class passengers themselves in the exclusive waiting areas.
Also in business class, guests will soon be able to enjoy complete privacy with new privacy dividers on the carrier’s first Airbus A330. The dividers better separate seats that are directly adjacent from one another, offering each guest even more personal and undisturbed space for themselves. The entire fleet will soon be retrofitted with privacy dividers.
Also new is the entertainment program update cycle on long-haul routes. The carrier will add five current leading blockbusters on board every two months rather than every four months and will offer at least eight new classic movies every two months.
