Latvian airline airBaltic has introduced a novel food ordering system that allows passengers to customize their in-flight meal selection.
“Our customer is at the center of this innovative service,” said Michael Grimme, CCO, airBaltic. “Now travelers are fully in control when selecting their preferred meal items onto their virtual airline tray and creating their own in-flight meal.”
The carrier’s innovative plan allows passengers to choose from more than 70 pre-order meal options including vegetable risotto, fish souvlaki, teriyaki salmon and grilled pork or chicken breast. A selection of nine salads and nine desserts complements the entrée selection. Passengers may place their in-flight meal order when they complete their booking or up to 48 hours before scheduled departure.
