Skytrax recently named the best airport hotels around the world. The top contender in North America was Fairmont Vancouver Airport for the sixth consecutive year.
Skytrax’s World Airport Awards recognizes airport hotels as voted by 13 million questionnaire respondents across 100 countries and traveling to more than 500 airports. The questionnaire considers overall hotel experience, hotel access from the airport, staff friendliness, amenities and more.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by this prestigious honor,” said Patrick Gosselin, general manager, Fairmont Vancouver Airport. “We celebrate our 20th anniversary this year and it’s a tribute to our colleagues who constantly strive to provide a welcoming and personalized experience for guests who stay with us.”
The Fairmont Vancouver Airport offers nearly 400 guestrooms just a few steps from the U.S. Departures Level, all triple soundproofed with floor-to-ceiling views of the runways. A Fairmont Gold floor provides 37 guestrooms with exclusive services provided to top-tier guests. Wellness Rooms are also available, with yoga mats, essential oil diffusers and workout gear. The full-service spa menu includes jet lag recovery treatments.
