Business travelers planning meetings and gatherings at Kimpton’s New York City hotels have a new offering available. Kimpton unveiled a new way to conduct group business at its select properties: Hygge Meetings. The hygge experience is an add-on meeting amenity available through the end of the year.

Hygge Meetings is offered at all three Kimpton New York City properties, including Kimpton Hotel Eventi, Kimpton Ink48 Hotel and Kimpton Muse Hotel.

The Danish concept of “hygge” promotes a present and mindful lifestyle, with a focus on wellbeing. The concept developed into a U.S. trend over the last year, particularly in mental health-geared and self-care communities.

Hygge Meetings includes mental activity-stimulating essential oils diffused in meeting rooms; a selection of soothing teas; a music playlist curated by Lauren Bucherie, director of music, Kimpton; seasonal flower arrangements; and pashminas for guests.

Planners can personalize each of the components. Hygge Meetings starts at $50 for a minimum group of four people.

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
