The Hay-Adams in Washington, D.C., is already preparing for the return of the city’s large crowds during cherry blossom season, which runs March 20 through April 17. Several seasonal specials will be available at this time, for guests looking to celebrate the return of warmer weather and the beautiful blossoms seen all over the city.

The Hay-Adam’s gourmet dining room, The Lafayette, will be offering a fixed price dinner menu priced at $70 during this time. The Japanese-inspired, three-course menu includes an amuse bouche with cherry Kir Royal with a choice between a spring vegetable salad and Yellowfin tuna tartar for the first course. Entrée options include caramelized Chilean sea bass and Black Angus strip steak. The meal is topped off with a dessert of chocolate panna cotta.

The property’s Off The Record Bar will be offering a specialty house cocktail, called the Off The Record Blossom, which includes a tantalizing mixture of gin, maraschino liquor, lemon juice, crème de violette liquor and a limoncello-marinated cherry.

In addition, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day during the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Hay-Adams’ executive pastry chef, Josh Short, will be sharing his chocolate and cherry macaroons with guests in the lobby.

Those who wish to extend their stay at The Hay-Adams can book the Cherry Blossom offer, which includes luxury accommodations, a welcome amenity of a chocolate espresso and cherry cake and breakfast each day for three nights or more. Rates begin at $469 per night and the special is available throughout the entire festival.
