The Bottleworks Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, was once a plant for Coca-Cola in the early 20th century. The bottling company filled its last glass in 1964 and sat empty before becoming a service center and, eventually, a hub for entertainment, art and history. The H.M. Prison Pentridge transformed into The Interlude, a 19-room urban oasis. Open for bookings as of May 2023, The Interlude comprises one of only a few prison-hotel conversions in the world. Guests can stay in converted suites with modern interiors and calming details. Each suite was designed to immerse the senses in culture and history through Bluestone walls, luxury amenities and curated tours of the hotel and neighborhood.

Stay in a Former Canadian Strip Club
Jilly’s Strip Club buzzed with life in the 1970s in Toronto, with notorious and wild myths surrounding the property for nearly three decades, but the building has an even longer history than that. Built in 1891, the building embraces Romanesque-style architecture and became the Lincoln Hotel in the 1930s. Today, the building is Broadview Hotel, a 58-room boutique property. Each guestroom comes outfitted with luxury linens, a vinyl record player and minibar offerings. The hotel also boasts a rooftop bar and bistro.

Stay in a Former Stationer’s Warehouse in Charleston
Built as a three-story stationer’s warehouse in 1901, this Charleston property was fully renovated into The Ansonborough Inn. With rooms spanning 450–750 square feet, each features exposed heart pine beams, local fire red brick and historic antiques, as well as a vast collection of original oil paintings. The Ansonborough Inn has also received the AAA Four Diamond Award every year since 2011.
