Hello, Porto!
For the final leg of my trip to Portugal, we left Madeira and headed to Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for the port wine of the Douro Valley. Our flight to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto was in the early morning hours. Upon landing, we took a taxi to our Airbnb on one of the main streets for tourism in the city. Once settled in, we explored the city on foot before heading to dinner to enjoy some good food and wine.

More Positive Signs
Oregon's governor just announced that, with a statewide vaccination rate nearing 70 percent, the state will fully reopen (meaning no capacity restrictions for gyms, restaurants and theaters) on June 30. We've been seeing a gradual easing of restrictions over the past few months as more citizens have been vaccinated and deaths, hospitalizations and infection rates have come down. My husband and I recently have enjoyed the benefits of the easing of those rules at one of our favorite local wineries.
Discovering an Artistic Side?
As I mentioned in my last blogs, my husband and I recently road-tripped across Pennsylvania to visit Nemacolin. With so many activities on offer, it’s nearly impossible to narrow down the choices. The list of activities we wanted to try was LONG, but with only two full days, limited capacities and availability, we narrowed it down some and decided to try our hands at something unfamiliar for both of us: painting.
