Southwest Airlines to Hawaii

An Island Oasis
During our visit to Kaua‘i in November, my husband and I visited the Ko‘a Kea Hotel & Resort at Poipū Beach on the sunny south shore of the island. While there, we enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating couple's hot stone massage in the on-site Spa, which you can read about in the upcoming March issue of Global Traveler. After several days on Kaua‘i, we had already decided a return visit would be in order, and our tour of Ko‘a Kea suggested the perfect location for our next stay.
Exploring Waimea Canyon
On our recent trip to Kauai, my husband and I spent most of one day exploring Waimea Canyon on the island's west side. Mark Twain dubbed it "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific"; and though it isn't as old, deep or large as its Arizona cousin, it certainly matches it for stunning geological formations, color and impact.

Hawaiian Sunset at The Beach House
On the recommendation of my daughter and son-in-law, who had been to Kauai last spring, my husband and I made reservations for dinner at The Beach House restaurant on the south shore of the island as we were planning our trip there last month. Located in the town of Koloa, it is well-known both for its fine dining and as a perfect vantage point for observing colorful sunsets. Before booking, I looked up the time of sunset on the evening we planned to be there --- wouldn't want to get there too late!
