I recently had the opportunity to take a trip to the Finger Lakes in upstate New York and spend my weekend, for the most part, wine tasting and hiking. I ventured up to Seneca Lake on a Friday night with my girlfriend and her family, and we stayed in the wonderful Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel.

Almost every year, my family and I plan a trip to the Finger Lakes in New York. The area is gorgeous with vibrant, lush scenery surrounding each lake. Our trips are planned around the local wineries’ weekend festivals. Every year we choose a new lake to meander and attempt to try all the wines in that area.

My friends and I traveled to the Finger Lakes for a birthday celebration and girls' trip and landed in Dundee, New York. After a lot of back and forth about location and what amenities were important to us, we settled on a Waneta lakeside cottage in the Village of Dundee.
