Usually when I think of river cruises, what first comes to mind is an expedition in Europe or Asia through exotic, less-touristy destinations. This may be the case for you, too, but I am here to say if the idea of a river cruise sounds intriguing, you do not always have to look at taking one on another continent — or in another country, for that matter.
