Saturdays through April 2 from noon to 6 p.m., the Whistler Artisan Market at the Westin Resort & Spa Whistler is the perfect place to take a break from chilly feet and snow sports to browse the original creations of area artisans. The market showcases jewelry, pottery, fashion and fine art — plus a selection of handcrafted artisan foods.
In the evening, enjoy a performance near the resort. Coming up in February: cabaret, comedy and storytelling from Nashville Hurricane (Feb. 5); Montreal Guitare Trio and California Guitar Trio ensemble (Feb. 14); Hamelin: A New Fable Children’s Theatre (Feb. 20); live radio comedy with CBC’s This is That: Live! (Feb. 25); classical piano with Sarah Hagen & Søren Bebe (March 3); and a screening of the film The Duchess of Malfi (March 23). All performances are at the Maury Young Arts Centre.
