Rosewood Sanya opened last month, with 246 ocean-facing guestrooms, 45 with balcony plunge pools. The serene design combines land and sea, with wood accents, totems and aquatic elements. Curated art is displayed throughout the property, from the lobby to the infinity pool bar. The 14th-floor reception area boasts a full sea view of the South China Sea.

The property is part of a resort complex on 40 landscaped acres, near the Sanya Forum, the area’s largest convention center. Rosewood Sanya includes a grand ballroom and six event spaces, as well as a residential-style venue.

Five restaurants and lounges are available at the property. The East Kitchen offers a sea view from the 13th floor, alongside modern comfort foods and specialty cocktails. The HAI infinity pool bar is stocked by the resident mixologist. Later this month, The Fishmonger opens as a market-style, open-kitchen restaurant. Lastly, the Chop House provides elegant, seaside, outdoor dining. Beyond the on-site dining, the resort offers its exclusive A Sense of Taste program, featuring private, guided tours with rare access to authentic, indigenous culinary experiences.

Resort activities include water sports, golf, yoga and access to the spa, fitness studio and multiple pools.

Special opening offers are the Essential Sanya Offer and the Sanya Indulgence Offer. The former provides a one-night stay, a breakfast buffet for two, sunset cocktails, a welcome fruit basket, a bottle of wine and complimentary stocked mini bar. The latter includes private car transport from the airport, a welcome fruit platter, one-hour spa treatment for two, daily breakfast buffet for two, sunset cocktails and a dining credit. Both are available through Dec. 29, with blackout dates of Sept. 30–Oct. 7.
