This spring, The Ritz-Carlton, Amman hotel opened in Jordan, ushering in a new standard of hospitality in the heart of Jordan’s capital city. Rising above the West Amman skyline, and centrally located on the prestigious Fifth Circle, The Ritz-Carlton, Amman comprises part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of properties.
The 20-story, 228-room Ritz-Carlton, Amman is the most spacious hotel property in Jordan. Wimberly Interiors London designed all of the guestrooms and suites, and the hotel’s interior is inspired by the culture and history of Jordan, reflected in the bold interior architecture, tailored lighting, Art Deco touches and contemporary artwork.
The breathtaking structures of Petra are reflected in a series of vignettes, while Roman and Nabatean architectural features are given modern reinterpretations throughout the hotel. The floor finishes in the guest corridors pay homage to Jordan’s desert landscape, and guestrooms reflect the country’s natural elements, sand and sea.
Roberto’s, the hotel’s signature restaurant, offers Italian fine dining for guests and local visitors. Guests can also dine at Ambros, a casual dining option, or at Sarab Garden for a sophisticated shisha lounge featuring upscale regional cuisine.
For cigar connoisseurs, The Founders Room is a cigar and whiskey lounge delivering an exclusive atmosphere and an elevated menu with sophisticated bites. Soleil focuses on vegetarian dishes and a distinctive coffee roastery. Legends, a sports lounge with American-style culinary fare, is set to open later this year.
The Ritz-Carlton, Amman offers leisure or business groups an 11,300-square-foot Grand Ballroom, five meeting rooms, a boardroom and a luxurious Club Lounge. The Ritz-Carlton Spa and Wellness Center offers ESPA products, indoor and outdoor temperature-controlled pools, six treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge and the largest Jacuzzi in Amman.
“The opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Amman marks an incredible milestone for the entire Kingdom,” said Tareq Derbas, general manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Amman. “The property delivers an exceptional standard of luxury and refinement, one that redefines elegance and hospitality in Jordan and the wider region. We are thrilled to unveil this stunning property and look forward to welcoming guests with a level of care and passion that will be sure to delight and exceed expectations.”

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
