ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: My first visit to Nashville, and what a beautiful city! The flight from Los Angeles was much swifter than I expected. Nashville makes it so easy to get around, and getting to city center took less than 20 minutes by car. The hotel presents a beautifully expansive welcome from the driveway to the check-in desk, greeting guests with beautiful touches of Nashville without overwhelming them with décor.
This is the perfect place to stay for the first-time visitor to Music City, as the hotel is connected to Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as well as the Hatch Show Print.
GUEST QUARTERS: Elevators are accessible by room key only. I made my way up to the 21st floor where the King Executive rooms offer such a stunning view of the city. My room faced Country Music Hall of Fame, which made it so cool to open the curtains in the morning.
The massive bed provided a wonderful respite from work and exploring the city. If you happen to have a plus one, you won’t even bump elbows.
The Omni serves up super-spacious quarters, as per usual. You will enjoy plenty of space to rest as well as get some work done, with ample desk space to plug in and get through emails and calls. There are so many USB ports and regular outlets for all your devices to be ready to go.
You will also find outlets by your bed, as well as at both ends of the entertainment area. Whether enjoying meals in your room or around the city, the room includes a small fridge to stow away any leftovers. A handy coffeemaker is also provided.
SERVICES/AMENITIES: The gym is absolutely amazing, reminding me of a Mexico City hotel I visited that boasted a great view of the city. It offers so many options for cardio as well as weight lifting. My favorite experience was a night workout as the pool light filtered in, making it special.
TOP TAKEAWAYS:
- On weekend days starting Thursdays, the hotel hosts a DJ poolside (this may be seasonal) — stop by when you finish work.
- Take a walk from the lobby to check out Hatch Show Print — even if you’re not nuts about old print presses, this is a fascinating place to visit.
- The city is so walkable, even if you are not into the rowdy party scene, it is a wonder- ful sight to see firsthand.
- If your itinerary allows, book a spa service at the hotel’s Mokara Spa.
