ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: As I researched Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, it seemed more like a private retreat than a hotel. Situated on the top three floors of JW Marriott Marquis Miami, Hotel Beaux Arts has only 44 rooms and offers a truly exclusive experience with private check-in on the 39th floor, extremely personalized service and discriminating staff.
After I valeted my car, Yonathan greeted me at the check-in area and provided light conversation with exceptional service. I was pleased to hear I’d be staying in Room 3925, a corner suite.
GUEST QUARTERS: As I opened the door, floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing a magnificent vista of Biscayne Bay flooded my view, with a small guest bath immediately to my right. A modern, L-shaped lounge made of white leather centered the living area, with a flat-screen TV, black leather tufted chair and mirrored coffee table giving plenty of room to relax and unwind. A working table with two chairs near the far windows and a small bar featuring Illy espresso products rounded out the space.
The bedroom featured a king-sized bed with the same floor-to-ceiling windows, an additional workspace and another contemporary chair. The oversized bathroom was around the corner, streamlined with two sinks featuring temperature-controlling touch faucets, a full bathtub, Italian marble shower and separate water closet. Glass doors allowed the space to feel even larger, and a bathroom mirror TV was conveniently positioned between both sinks. Molton Brown bath products always bring an extra smile to my face when I see them.
Brazilian cherry hardwoods found throughout the suite played very nicely against high-polish finishes of sleek white and walnut brown. Glossy brown panels placed against the walls and into the ceiling warmed an otherwise cold color palette and provided a touch of chic.
SERVICES/AMENITIES: Beaux Arts guests can access L’atelier, the separate, private lounge on the 39th floor, but several additional amenities are available within JW Marriott Marquis. Guests can enjoy the stainless- steel pool on the 19th floor; virtual bowling; Mariano Bartolome Indoor Golf School; and a full-sized, NBA- approved basketball court. A fitness center, yoga classes, spa and salon are also available.
Several dining options also exist, including Boulud Sud Miami, Met Café & Bar, and Intermezzo. With little time on this trip, I’ll have to find another time to enjoy dinner, particularly at Boulud Sud Miami.
TOP TAKEAWAYS:
- Small, private hotel located in Miami’s Financial District
- Exceptional service with numerous ameni- ties not found in most hotels
- Short ride to PortMiami, easy walk to Bayfront Park
