Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled Norwegian Viva, the newest ship in its brand-new Prima Class. Set to launch June 2023, Norwegian Viva will take guests through the cruise line’s Mediterranean itineraries. With plans for the new ship to homeport in Lisbon, Venice, Rome and Athens for the summer, Norwegian Viva will then set sail the Southern Caribbean for her 2023–2024 Winter Season.
Built by Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy, the same shipbuilder responsible for constructing Norwegian Cruise Line’s record-breaking Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Viva will accommodate up to 3,219 guests at double occupancy. The ship will boast the brand’s largest inside, ocean view and balcony category staterooms.
“Norwegian Viva sets the standard in the premium segment, illustrating our commitment to pushing boundaries in four main areas: wide open space, service that puts guests first, thoughtful design and experiences beyond expectation,” said Harry Sommer, president and chief executive officer, Norwegian Cruise Line. “We have taken everything our guests love to the next level with this brand-new class of ships designed with them in mind.”
In addition to an expansive sundeck, infinity pool and outdoor spa with a glass-walled sauna and cold room, the 107 suites on the ship, designed by Piero Lissoni, will exude the height of luxury and comfort. Norwegian Viva will also feature Ocean Boulevard, a 44,000-square-foot outdoor walkway wrapping around the ship. Guests can enjoy The Concourse, the ship’s outdoor sculpture garden and choose from one of 11 eateries at Indulge Food Hall.
