Nobu is officially coming to Portugal’s Eastern Algarve with Nobu Monte Rei, a new luxury resort and complex slated to open in 2029. The property will encompass a 100-room Nobu Hotel and signature Nobu restaurant alongside a collection of Nobu villas and branded residences.

The property will be centered around the destination’s existing Jack Nicklaus signature golf course in Monte Rei. Guests of the complex can also expect curated amenities. Construction is slated to begin in 2027. The development will form the centerpiece of a broader investment program led by Norfin.
“Monte Rei offers a rare combination of natural beauty, privacy and an established reputation for exceptional golf and residential living,” said Trevor Horwell, CEO, Nobu Hospitality. “Together with Norfin, we have the opportunity to create a distinctive Nobu destination that feels deeply connected to the Eastern Algarve while delivering the hospitality, dining, design and service for which the brand is known around the world.”
