InterContinental Los Angeles Century City will debut a new dining option July 8, part of a multimillion-dollar renovation. Executive chef Jonathan Wood, the executive chef and director of food and beverage at the property for eight years, oversees The new Copper Lounge and Mari Los Angeles. Before his career at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City, Wood acted as executive sous chef at The Fairmont Kansas City at the Plaza. Other members of the culinary team overseeing the opening of Mari Los Angeles and Copper Lounge include executive sous chef Shane Hosac, who joined InterContinental in 2011, after a period at The Ritz-Carlton and the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, and executive pastry chef Romain Lenoir, whose long history includes apprenticeships in Dijon, France, and stints at luxury properties in London, Chicago and Beverly Hills. “Chef Wood and his expert culinary team are instrumental in creating the culinary program for our new restaurant and lounge. Inspired by the Japanese heritage and global travelers of our hotel’s owner, Mari Los Angeles will provide guests with a world-class dining experience that is sure to impress visitors and regulars alike,” said Steve Choe, general manager, InterContinental Los Angeles Century City. The opening of the restaurant and lounge will complete the hotel’s renovations, which included redesigns and refurbishments of the guestrooms and suites, spa and Grand Chateau Ballroom.
