Malaysia Airlines announced it would begin a thorough redesign of its Golden Lounges for a new passenger experience. The first redesigns will be revealed later this year, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, in both the Malaysia Airlines regional and domestic lounges.
The new lounges will feature an innovative kitchen concept in which guests can meet chefs and explore improved dining options. Bistro service and quick snacks will be offered, as well as fine dining for first-class passengers. Upgraded WiFi will also be available.
“Delivering a holistic experience for our guests which starts from the lounge lies at the heart of the redesign,” said Paul Simmons, chief commercial officer, Malaysia Airlines. “We want the space to encapsulate the richness of travel with the airline, a luxurious contemporary Malaysian style that our guests will be able to experience when they enter any Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge around the world. The new design will feature an expansive lounge where guests will find a world of amenities to help them recharge, relax or catch up with work.”
