A new 19-story, dual-branded hotel development featuring Marriott brands AC Hotel and Moxy Hotel is expected to open in summer 2026 in the heart of Uptown Dallas. The Peachtree Group project will bring 264 upscale hotel rooms; modern amenities; and unique food, beverage and retail venues to the bustling McKinney Avenue corridor. The much-anticipated project promises to elevate the city’s hospitality scene.
When completed, the dual-branded property will offer a blend of comfort, style and convenience, featuring 110 rooms for the AC Hotel and 154 rooms for the Moxy Hotel, providing guests with distinct yet complementary experiences that will be positioned competitively with the premium hotels in the Uptown district.
“Most hotels in Uptown cater to the upper-upscale and luxury segments, leaving many leisure and business visitors to this area of Dallas lacking in upscale hotel options,” said Greg Friedman, managing principal and CEO, Peachtree Group. “Uptown represents one of the highest incomes and most desirable submarkets within the Dallas market. This dual-branded project will be situated in a premier location within the neighborhood, half a block from much of the area’s restaurants, bars and entertainment.”

The signature Moxy Bar and Restaurant will be on street level, setting the tone for a fun and energetic ambiance. A highlight of the property will be the custom-branded bar and lounge located on the eighth floor, which will feature an elevated amenity deck with an outdoor terrace, water features and great views of Dallas.
“These two Moxy spaces will create a unique destination within Uptown Dallas, attracting attention from both hotel guests and locals,” added Friedman.
Further enhancing the guest experience at this dual-branded property will be a state-of-the-art fitness center and a 261-stall on-site parking garage. Both brands will offer an unmatched blend of comfort, style and convenience.
As Dallas’ most walkable live-work-play community, Uptown boasts a host of new apartments, trendy bars, hot restaurants and much of the best shopping in town. Singles in their 20s often dominate the social scene along McKinney Avenue, but it is mostly professionals older than the age of 30 who have settled into the townhomes along the tree-lined roads farther north, closer to Knox Street.

Sep 30, 2026Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
