The private Moskito Island, owned by Virgin’s Sir Richard Branson since 2007, recently opened for public booking. Located off Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, the three-villa complex is reachable via a private helipad or boat coming from Tortola or Virgin Gorda. Private jets can land in St. Thomas (STT). Amenities include all meals, snacks and alcoholic beverages; return launch transfers from Virgin Tortola Airport; three fresh-water infinity pools; four hot tubs; two tennis courts; a fitness center; wakeboarding, snorkeling, paddleboarding, windsurfing, sailing and kitesurfing equipment; bicycles; laundry services; and a personal DJ. The nightly rate for the entire island is $47,300. Guests in addition to the 22 permitted in the nightly rate are at an additional charge. Additional overnight guests are $1,000 each, plus a 2.5 percent service charge. Additional day guests are $625 each, plus a $25 service charge. A minimum stay of three nights is required, and additional charges apply for holiday stays.
