Two new aircraft make it easier than ever for Lufthansa customers to get around.
Next summer, Lufthansa will add two Airbus A380 aircraft to its Munich-based fleet. The two new A380s will bring the total number of A380s up to seven, greatly expanding the airline’s capacity out of Munich (MUC).
The new planes will help the airline to add year-round San Francisco (SFO) service. It will also add Boston (BOS) to its repertoire for the first time. Currently, Lufthansa operates the Airbus A380 Munich (MUC)–Los Angeles (LAX), Munich–Beijing (PEK) and Munich–Hong Kong (HKG).
“Adding year-round A380 service to San Francisco, as well as placing our A380 on the Boston-Munich route, continues to demonstrate Lufthansa Group’s commitment to the United States,” said Frank Naeve, vice president, sales, the Americas, Lufthansa.
The Airbus A380 has been one of Lufthansa’s flagship aircraft since it joined the fleet in 2010.
