Kimpton Hotels & Resorts opened its first U.K. property, Kimpton Fitzroy London. Located in the Bloomsbury neighborhood, it’s set within a historic building from 1898. The property includes more than 300 guestrooms and suites, a ballroom, multiple dining options and a 24-hour fitness center. The decor honors the building’s history, while adding a playful edge.

Various amenities are available throughout to enhance guests’ stays, including in-room yoga mats, complimentary bikes, a daily Champagne hour and complimentary tea and coffee.

“This hotel will bring a new luxury approach to the United Kingdom — a more inclusive style of luxury as opposed to museum-like spaces so guests don’t need to keep their voices down in the lobby, or wear a suit jacket to dinner. A defining trait for the Kimpton brand is the focus on heartfelt human connections. We want guests to enjoy the glamour of a historic iconic building but still feel free to be themselves. On-site dining includes Neptune, for all-day dining with a seafood focus; Fitz’s, a 1920s-style bar; and Burr & Co., a coffeehouse.

The property kicks off Kimpton’s expansion into the United Kingdom, with openings lined up for Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester.
