InterContinental Dhaka opened in a prime location, giving guests easy access to key landmarks and the downtown business district.
The property includes 226 contemporary guestrooms with 25 suites. Club InterContinental rooms grant travelers access to the Club Lounge for exclusive dining options and social spaces. Two ballrooms and seven meeting rooms make up more than 21,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Other common spaces include a heated swimming pool overlooking Ramna Park, a fitness center, steam room, sauna and spa. Dining options include an all-day dining restaurant, specialty eatery, café and pool bar.
“Today is a milestone occasion for us as we announce the opening of InterContinental Dhaka — a stunning property that will offer the guests a luxurious experience with signature facilities and high standards of service that we have become renowned for. We are confident that the hotel will be a great success and we look forward to welcoming our guests from around the world. The opening also aligns with our strategy to expand our presence across brands, and key cities in the SWA region,” said Vivek Bhalla, regional vice president, Southwest Asia, IHG.
The InterContinental Dhaka is just one of many hotels in IHG’s Southwest Asia pipeline. More than 50 hotels are planned for the region to complement the 32 existing properties.
