Recently renovated Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa launched its Halona Kai Beer Garden pop-up series, bringing Maui brews to meet Maui views and celebrate the summer season. Sip a cold Maui beer or seltzer while taking in the breathtaking views of the island. The beer garden will be offered three times a week, 5–9 p.m.
Halona Beer Garden serves craft beers and seltzers from Maui Brewing Co., 100 percent locally brewed in Maui. Craft beers include Sunshine Girl Golden Ale, Pono Life IPA and Pineapple Mana Wheat beers. There’s a beer to meet each drinker’s palette. Food, music, lawn games and outdoor seating complement the experience. The name comes from the Hawai’ian words halona, meaning a place from which to peer, and kai, meaning sea.
Opening dates are June 28–30, July 1, July 4, July 6–7, July 12–14, July 19–21, July 25–26, Aug. 2–4, Aug. 9–11, Aug. 16, Aug, 18, Aug. 30 and Sept. 6. Halona Kai Beer Garden is also available for private events, minimum of 100 people, at $125 per person.

May 31, 2023Homer and Janet by Homer Review
The Marais District, covering swaths of Paris’ 3rd and 4th arrondissments, has a distinctively gritty glamour that reveals it to be one of the city’s great incubators for new French food, fashion and lifestyle trends. It is here Moïse Sfez took on the challenge of creating street food establishments Homer in 2017 and Janet by Homer in 2022, doing it in such a way they both transcend the novelty of being regional American comfort food offered at stylized lunch counters matching up with New England lobster shacks and New York delis. Overwhelming local response and Sfez winning the 2018 Lobster Roll World’s Championship title in Portland, Maine, solidified him as a Paris restaurateur and one of France’s hottest culinary stars.
