Four new Hilton Honors cards are available January 2018, providing added perks to travelers and small businesses.
The cards include the no-annual-fee Hilton Honors American Express, Hilton Honors American Express Ascend, Hilton Honors American Express Aspire and Hilton Honors American Express Business.
The first is designed for the occasional traveler and comes with no foreign transaction fees. Benefits include seven times the bonus points at Hilton Hotels and Resorts; five times the bonus points at grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations in the United States; triple bonus points on all other eligible purchases; complimentary Hilton Honors silver status; and gold status after spending $20,000 on the card in one year.
The Ascend card provides more points and 10 priority lounge passes, with 12 times the bonus points at Hilton Hotels and Resorts and six times the bonus points at restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations in the United States. Cardholders enjoy complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status and receive Diamond status after spending $40,000 on the card in one year. After spending $15,000 on the card in one year, travelers receive one weekend night reward at a Hilton property.
The Aspire card provides Diamond status, unlimited lounge access, airline credits, free nights and 24/7 concierge access. Cardholders receive 14 times the bonus points at Hilton properties and seven times the bonus points on flights booked directly with airlines or amextravel.com, car rentals booked directly with select car rental companies and at U.S. restaurants.
The Business card is similar to the Ascend card, with added bonus points at gas stations and for shipping, as well as car rentals and flights.
“The card portfolio we are announcing today was designed with both frequent and less-frequent travelers in mind,” said Mark Weinstein, senior vice president and global head, customer engagement, loyalty and partnerships, Hilton. “We know travelers — and particularly our Hilton Honors credit cardholders — are looking for even more access, personalized benefits, premium service and, yes, the ability to earn even more points. In fact, the Aspire Card offers the most Hilton Honors Points we have ever offered for spending in our hotels.”
“Whether it’s a business trip or a vacation with the family, our new suite of cards will help you get the most out of your Hilton Honors points and receive more perks, like lounge access and concierge, while you travel,” said Eva Reda, executive vice president, co-brand partnerships, American Express. “Together, we’re deeply committed to servicing our collective card members and are excited to provide more choice and richer rewards to those who love Hilton’s 5,100-plus properties worldwide.”
