Global City Guidebook 2024

The capital of Taiwan, Taipei or Taipei City, is home to nearly 2.5 million people and forms the core of the Taipei–Keelung metropolitan area. A high-tech industrial hub, Taipei features temples, shopping districts, museums, night markets and parks. Theaters and concert halls also abound across the city. Taipei loves to celebrate, from Taipei Lantern Festival to New Year’s Eve to Double Ten Day.

Frequent buses connect the airport with Taipei and other cities in Taiwan. Taoyuan Airport MRT train also links both terminals to Taipei. Revive and Relax at Finisterra Spa at Martinhal Sagres Family Beach Resort

Most visitors remember Portugal’s Algarve for its 100-plus miles of golden, sun-drenched beaches.
