GETTING THERE & AROUND
Benito Juárez International Airport is the largest and closest airport serving Mexico City. As an alternative, Felipe Ángeles International Airport lies about 22 miles from city center. Travelers have multiple options for getting around within Mexico City. The metro is fast and affordable but can get very crowded during peak hours; be aware of pickpockets during those times. Uber is available in Mexico City, or opt for a taxi. Many neighborhoods — Centro Histórico, La Condesa, Roma Norte — are walkable if you prefer to travel on foot.

ATTRACTIONS
Chapultepec
Also known as Bosque de Chapultepec, this stunning oasis in the city center is one of the largest urban parks in Mexico. Encompassing more than 2,100 acres, the park comprises four sections, each with a variety of attractions including museums, gardens, monuments, fountains, a zoo and walking trails. There is no entrance fee for the park.

National Museum of Anthropology
One of the largest and most visited museums in all of Mexico, National Museum of Anthropology houses a massive collection of artifacts from Mexico’s pre-Columbian period, including Stone of the Sun, the famous Aztec calendar stone. Located within Chapultepec, the museum closes Mondays.

Teotihuacan Pyramids
Travelers up for a daytrip should consider a visit to Teotihuacan Pyramids. Located about an hour’s drive outside of the city, the site is one of the most archaeologically significant attractions in Mexico. Key features include Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon and Avenue of the Dead. A small on-site museum houses hundreds of artifacts.
