Fiji welcomed its first-ever speakeasy, Cellar & Barrel, at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort. This new bar is dedicated to fine wine, rare whiskey and spirits, and craft cocktails, boasting more than 300 beverage labels from around the world.

Separated into two concepts, the speakeasy bar embraces both wine and spirits. The Wine Cellar features a wide variety of selections from both Old World and New World wine-making regions. Guests are invited to try the bar’s signature Cellar Elite experience, complete with an intimate wine-tasting session complemented by thoughtfully curated platters, all guided by the resort’s certified in-house beverage team.

The Barrel Craft experience, meanwhile, embraces a refined speakeasy ambiance with an intricate chandelier inspired by the whiskey distillation process. Unique art assembled from framed belts adorns the walls, while personal whiskey lockers with glass windows for a “whiskey wall” allow patrons to store their preferred bottles with custom name engravings.

Cocktails include Asparas (Amrut single malt, Chambord, rose and honey syrup, and cardamom bitters); Enchantress (Limoncello, amaretto, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup and prosecco); and Uisge Beatha (Highland Park, chocolate bitters, candied orange and honey syrup).

The bar’s international team of four highly trained mixologists hail from Ireland, Fiji, Indonesia and Kenya, with a combined 40 years of experience.
