Capella Washington, D.C., Georgetown is introducing its own farmers’ market. The Capella farmer’s market is a partnership with Northern Neck Farm, a farm that has a 50-year history and is located in the agriculturally rich region of Virginia. In August and September, guests and locals alike can browse the fresh produce the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Located at the entrance area of the hotel, the Capella farmer’s market aligns with the philosophy of the hotel group’s commitment to sustainable ingredients and farming. Under the direction of executive chef Frank Ruta, the hotel’s Grill Room features a seasonal menu and ingredients sourced from local and regional farms.
Visitors can also enjoy warm pastries and hand-filled jars of honey. Experienced farmers will be available to share their farming tips, culinary advice and more.
