This past Friday was the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center’s annual Roundup, a Western-themed event that our CEO is the co-chair of and that raises necessary funds for CCTC’s efforts through silent and live auctions and donations. CCTC is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia that provides comprehensive mental and behavioral healthcare services to children and their families experiencing the effects of trauma. By intervening in early childhood and meeting kids where they are, CCTC helps disadvantaged children to reach their full potential.
The importance of CCTC’s work cannot be overstated — they are changing the lives of these kids who will go on to become well-adjusted and successful adults because of the services they received at CCTC.
Over the past few months, I assisted in gathering and coordinating raffle item donations from some of our clients and friends. I’m happy to say that thanks to the contributions of GT’s generous clients, the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center gained 10 travel-related raffle items which raised over $14,000 for the cause.
I first attended the Roundup two years ago and sadly had to miss last year, so I was happy to be back this year in my finest Western wear. Fran pays for a table for whoever from our team wants to come along with their plus-ones, so I got to meet some of my colleagues’ partners for the first time and reunite with those I already know.
Hosted at The Bellevue Hotel this year, the food options during cocktail hour were plentiful and delicious — though we had to scarf them down in the pre-function area, as there wasn’t much seating available! We could also peruse the raffle items available for both silent and live auction in person, and there were so many great options. Once the ballroom doors opened and we made our way to our tables, the live band brought the country music energy and so many people hit the dance floor.
From hearing speakers talk about the impact of CCTC and getting to enjoy live music and an open bar with colleagues, it was a great night supporting a worthy cause.
Here’s to another year of the Roundup!

Oct 7, 2026Review: Prestige Oceanfront Resort
Vancouver Island gets progressively wilder as you leave Victoria behind and follow the coastline west. By the time you reach Sooke, about 45 minutes from the provincial capital, city blocks have surrendered to forests, rocky shoreline, sheltered coves and long views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Prestige Oceanfront Resort rises directly above Sooke Harbour, where boats move across the basin, and the Olympic Mountains form the horizon beyond the strait.
