A lovely Sunday afternoon (and a bye week for the Eagles) called for forced family fun. We trekked out to the Philadelphia suburbs to catch the last day of the weekend’s apple festival, hosted at Peddler’s Village.
Although there were not many stands that offered apples, we still snagged a bag for ourselves, along with some apple fritter, cider and various flavors of honey (my favorite was the caramel-brownie flavor).
We soaked up the sunshine as we popped from booth to booth. We listened alongside the band as each of us indulged in fresh bowls of soup. Loaded potato for me, vegetable for my dad and a mashed potato/gravy/chicken mix for my mom. It was all so yummy!
We wrapped up our perfect fall day the only way we know how: sharing a bottle of wine and people-watching from the porch. Happy Sunday Funday!
