This past November I visited the charming city of Savannah, Georgia, with my friend Chloe. Savannah had been on my travel list for quite some time, as everyone seems to have a lovely experience when visiting. I knew I had to book my trip and experience the city firsthand.

I was driving from Sarasota, Florida, about a six-hour drive. Chloe, however, was coming from southern Ohio, around an eight-hour drive for her. I arrived first at Hotel Bardo, where we would be staying during our visit. Hotel Bardo is in a great location across from beautiful Forsyth Park and walking distance to downtown Savannah.

Upon arrival at the historic hotel, I was welcomed by the kind valet team that assisted me with luggage and directed me inside to the check-in desk. After stepping inside, I was greeted by a kind staff member who assisted me with a smooth check-in. The lobby set the tone for the mid-century modern aesthetic with dark wood lines and various plants throughout. Given the time I was visiting, a beautiful Christmas tree also lit up the lobby.

As I made my way to our beautiful premium pool-view suite, I was stunned by just how aesthetically beautiful my room was. The entirety of the room was remarkable with the mid-century modern style and pops of color all throughout. The room was unique and felt one-of-a-kind. In the main space was the king-sized bed that offered much-needed relaxation. A lamp and a nightstand flanked either side of the bed. The lamp lighting and the lighting around the TV could be controlled by a button in the bedframe. This was probably my favorite feature and one I would love to implement in my own home one day!

The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and chic. The two sinks were ideal for us. Chloe and I loved the Corpus Soap N° Green body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The shower was quite spacious, lined with green-and-white shower tiles … a dream shower to say the least! We also enjoyed the short-sleeved white robes as well.

Chloe and I especially liked that our suite came with access to the pool via our private patio. The premium pool suite overlooked the pool area and offered two large, pink chairs as well as a personal pink umbrella. An outdoor table was also included along with two pool towels. Safe to say Chloe and I did so much catching up on our patio.

Hotel Bardo offers a unique and luxurious stay when visiting. I know I felt glamorous during my stay. I highly recommend Hotel Bardo for those looking for elevated southern luxury when visiting this charming city.
