My recent trip to London was full of adventures, sightseeing and luxury hotel stays, especially at Sea Containers London.

Overlooking the edge of London’s South Bank neighborhood, the hotel greeted us with a memorable, nautical-inspired experience, lingering for the remainder of the trip. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us in true trans-Atlantic fashion with white-and-black striped shirts and a front desk crafted in copper and shaped like a cruise ship.

We were graciously upgraded to the newly reimagined Riverview Balcony Suite, offering views of London’s Thames River and overlooking the gorgeous skyline from our private balcony.

The apartment-style suite was simple yet vibrant. The space presented itself with plenty of room for the two of us, as we took advantage of the comfy, curved couch in the living room and countertop space for our Champagne pop. My personal favorite was the oversized marble bathroom. It was decorated to match the theme of the lobby with designs to evoke the feeling of cruising with a pop of color.

To be fair, most of my time was spent lounging on our private balcony, taking in the warm breeze and outstanding views of the city.
