For the last installment of my time in Yellowstone, I am taking you to Bozeman, Montana. As you may already know, Bozeman International Airport is one of the most convenient airports to fly into when visiting Yellowstone National Park. It is a small, cozy airport that makes a late-night departure and arrival easy.

While in Yellowstone we made sure to visit the north end of the park, where we saw bubbling lava in Dragon’s Mouth Spring. There was a stop, of course, at the impressive Roosevelt Arch. Apparently, Roosevelt never saw the structure completed because he was only there for the dedication ceremony. We even had the chance to visit natural hot springs that offered a great respite from the cold at Yellowstone Hot Springs. I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to be here during shoulder season: We simply walked in and did not have to worry about overcrowding.

We made the best of our last few hours of the trip by spending some time in downtown Bozeman. The first thing we did was enjoy one of the best eateries in town: Revelry offered a spread of local fare. I enjoyed a burger and Idaho fries so delicious I forgot to take a photo. You’ll just have to try it for yourself or take my word for it. We walked around and enjoyed the adventure outfitter stores and even found our way to a spice and herb shop that had some great spice blends we’ll be using in our kitchen for Thanksgiving.
