One of the destinations still on my bucket list is Alaska. Specifically, one day I hope to cruise Alaska, as I find it easier to travel the state via ship than land. I recently heard more about a new itinerary from Alaskan Dream Cruises coming in 2024 and thought I’d share for any others dreaming of Alaska.

The eight-day Ice of the Inside Passage itinerary begins in Sitka on the 49-passenger Baranof Dream before getting up close and personal with seven different glaciers: Margerie, Grand Pacific, Mendenhall, Sawyer, South Sawyer, Dawes and LeConte. Cruisers also spot Lamplugh, Reid, Herbert, Eagle and Sundum glaciers as they sail through the Inside Passage. Along the way, the journey visits the Haida community of Kasaan and ends in Ketchikan, the Salmon Capital of the World.

The Ice of the Inside Passage itinerary starts at $5,670 per person on seven departures between May and August 2024.

Other itineraries available this year and next include

  • Five-night North to True Alaska
  • Seven-night Last Frontier Adventure
  • Seven-night Alaska’s Glacier Bay and Island Adventure
  • Seven-night Ultimate Glacier Bay, Wilderness and Wildlife
  • Seven-night Alaska Bear Country and Wilderness Expedition
  • Seven-night Alaska Coastal Discoveries and Culture
  • Eight-night Alaska’s Inside Passage Sojourn
  • Nine-night Remote Alaska Adventure

The Bishop’s Lodge’s Bunkhouse: A Rustic, Historic Getaway

Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a small town that’s big on historic landmarks, buildings, parks and Western lore. Many of its most fascinating structures also happen to be hotels, including Bishop’s Lodge, which extends the city’s specific charms from the streets into the public areas and private suites and rooms. While most of the properties within historic buildings are upscale, Bishop’s Lodge is now a member of Auberge Resorts Collection thanks to a painstaking restoration, luxury appointments, commitment to personal service and wide range of exclusive activities.
