Located centrally in Amsterdam’s museum and arts district, the stylish Conservatorium provides a 5-star experience with an artsy twist. The hotel’s popular Art Months at the Conservatorium, offering a series of rotating works by local Dutch artists, wraps up in November with the work of Ralph Nauta on display through Nov. 30. Nauta, co-founder, Studio Drift design workshop, was the feature of a collection at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, and his series Shylights was a recent acquisition of the Rijksmuseum.

Perfectly located close to the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum, the hotel occupies a space once held by the Sweelinck Conservatory of Music. Contemporary interiors by Italian architect/designer Piero Lissoni meld beautifully with the building’s distinctive historic structural design. Eight floors include 129 luxury rooms and suites, along with the popular Brasserie and Lounge on the lobby level, the Asian-themed Taiko restaurant and local cocktail hotspot Tunes Bar. The hotel also boasts the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre, the largest of its kind in Amsterdam. Divided into areas corresponding to the elements of earth, water, fire and air, the space includes an Organic Bar, watsu pool, fitness center, swimming pool, sauna and hammam.
