Andaz 5th Avenue and Fellow Barber announced a new partnership, starting in December 2021. Andaz 5th Avenue will be the first hotel to carry Fellow’s unisex line of expertly crafted products in all guestrooms and suites. The hotel will also launch a pop-up barbershop Dec. 16–23, in its street-level artist-in-residence space to give frontline workers complimentary cuts from skilled Fellow barbers. Reserve a haircut here; those unable to claim one of the coveted spots can secure a wooden nickel at the hotel, which can be redeemed at any Fellow Barber location.
“We’re thrilled to partner with an innovator like Fellow Barber, who spawned a new barbering subculture when they launched over a decade ago, raised the overall barbering wage nationwide, and created new jobs by elevating the craft of barbering,” said Scott Mason, general manager, Andaz 5th Avenue. “This new pop-up experience celebrates the ethos of our brands while honoring our deserving frontline workers and giving back to the community that serves us every day.”
Additional experiences are also being unveiled to celebrate the partnership. Andaz 5th Avenue added The Fellow to its secret menu at The Bar Downstairs & Kitchen. The cocktail will be complimentary to frontline workers receiving a haircut; patrons can also order the cocktail by name with a portion of the proceeds donated to Feed the Frontlines. Guests at the hotel can donate a future cut to a frontline worker. And all guests of the hotel receive a preferred rate of 50 percent off services and products at all Fellow Barber’s New York clients.
