American Airlines prepares travelers for drift-off with the introduction of a new sleep experience, created in partnership with sleep company Casper.

Beginning in December, customers seated in long-haul international and transcontinental first or business class and premium economy can enjoy a suite of advanced sleep offerings designed by Casper. The line of products includes a mattress pad, duvet, pillow, day blanket, lumbar pillow, pajamas and slippers.

After studying the challenges of in-flight sleep, Casper’s engineering team created innovative products designed to make sleep during air travel easier. The products were then teased on long flights, including Los Angeles (LAX) to Auckland (AKL).

“Customers and crew members who tried Casper on our flights said they loved it,” said Kurt Stache, senior vice president for marketing, loyalty and sales, American Airlines. “Casper has set a new standard for premium sleep products and our new line showcases their attention to detail and design, and their commitment to providing the best rest possible for American Airlines customers.”

Casper products will be available on these select routes in addition to the traditional long-haul international and transcontinental routes:
