British Airways Buy On Board Menu Released

News

British Airways Buy On Board menu was introduced in-flight yesterday, Jan. 11. The new menu will service economy cabins on short-haul flights.

Enjoy delicious sweet and savory treats from British food favorite Marks and Spencer in short-haul economy cabins, and Euro Traveler and UK Domestic to and from London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW).

“Two great British brands coming together,” said Alex Cruz, chief executive officer, British Airways, in response to customers asking for more choice and better quality. “We have reached this point as a consequence of an increasing number of requests from our customers. We have customers saying to us “Do not force me to eat just what you have, there is very little choice.” And there are always questions about the quality. Today’s product launch is in reaction to customer response around choice and quality.

Marks and Spencer offers a new M&S on-board menu that will replace the complimentary service provided. With the new seasonally inspired menu, travelers can buy food and drinks in an easy transaction. The features of the Buy On Board menu include new food options and more choice including vegetarian, gluten-free and healthy alternatives; cashless payment in one easy transaction; fresh sourced ingredients selected for great flavor; seasonally updated menus, all choices under $6; and payment for food and drink can be done with Avios if you’re an executive club member.

Food options range from smoked British bacon roll, served hot, to a buffalo mozzarella and tomato focaccia, served hot, or yogurt with summer berry compote and crunchy granola. If you’re not starving, purchase soft apricots, wasabi peas, sea salt and balsamic vinegar hand cooked crisps, a brownie bar or one of the several other savory and sweet snacks. Passengers have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of hot or cold drinks from coffee to Vita Coco coconut water to a glass a wine. View the full drink and food menu online.
