A 50-year-wide slice of life in Jerusalem is the subject of The Camera Man: Women and Men Photograph Jerusalem 1900–1950, on display through Dec. 12 at the Tower of David Museum. The exhibition includes the work of professional photographers from Jewish, Christian and Muslim backgrounds, exploring how their personal impressions of the city were reflected in the images they captured during these five decades. The photographers included in this retrospective were often commissioned by institutions and organizations attached to various cultural communities to capture and record historical events and artists — resulting in a unique collection of the many faces and aspects of this historic city.
