From his youngest days, David Vox Mullen had a dream to be a rock musician. After high school, Mullen went to Nashville to make that dream a reality, and he lived the dream for more than a decade.

Eventually, Mullen expanded his entertainment platform to focus on comedy. Within a short time, Mullen became a Chicago favorite while also performing all over the country. Showing his versatility, Mullen is equally amusing and comfortable as a host, opener or headliner. He is also skilled in improv, sketches, storytelling and more. He hasn’t abandoned music, either, occasionally incorporating it into his act.

I have seen Mullen in all forms of comedy and enjoyed every show. I might be biased, but everyone who accompanied me was also highly amused.

Although Mullen isn’t constantly touring, he has spent plenty of time on the road. He has traveled to enough cities, played enough venues and dined out enough to have interesting views on travel.

In our Talking Travel interview, Mullen discussed picking locations based on his travel interests, tailoring his sets for different cities, venues and cities on his wish list, and more. Of course, he talked about his latest projects, including his Tag Team Comedy Tour with Al Snow.
