Hey sports fans! I hope you’re enjoying the football season, because I sure am. Finally the Jets made the playoffs, and fortunately, the Giants didn’t. The Eagles have been beat, and an exciting game awaits New Yorkers and New Englanders this weekend. I can’t wait! Once again, sports came with great timing to alleviate the stresses of the world and give people something to look forward to, even if it’s just for a few hours. Throughout most of the year I have an uphill battle against my colleagues based in the Philadelphia area when it comes to sports; however, I have had an even longer ongoing rival with those from New England. This rivalry stemmed from being a New Yorker at Vermont University. I drummed up the old rivalry this past weekend after the Jets game. I sent one simple text message to several friends stating: J-E-T-S, Jet, Jets, JETS! As a result, I received an influx of nasty responses.
